This glossary lists several words of vocabulary about immigration and refugees. It talks about people who leave their country to live in another country with the hope to have a better life somewhere else in the world. It aims to help me to learn more vocabulary and to better understand in French the words, verbs and expressions from English. My teacher of improvement lessons asks the class to create this type of glossary and to add new words of vocabulary each week.

- Example: Some companies suffer from a downturn.

- a state of being extremly dirty/unpleasant
- Example: Immigrants live in a urban squalor.

- unwilling and hesitant, disinclined
- Example: Some people are reluctant to trust traffickers.
